ViperBroadband

Frequently asked questions

Still have a question? Call or text us at (931) 488-4123.

How does Viper Broadband work?+

We use 4G LTE / 5G data from local cellular towers to bring internet to your home — similar to how a smartphone gets data. One router supports up to 32 devices wirelessly, and an optional external antenna can extend and stabilize your signal. No phone lines required.

Will this work in my rural area?+

Often, yes — Viper Broadband is built specifically for the rural addresses that cable and fiber skip. Because we run on 4G LTE / 5G cellular networks, what matters is whether there's a usable cell signal at your location rather than whether wired lines reach you. The honest way to know is to check your coverage or call us, and we'll tell you whether we can serve your address and which network (Blue or Pink) is likely to perform best.

How fast is it?+

Speeds vary by location — they depend on your distance from the nearest tower, line of sight, foliage and network congestion. On 4G LTE most customers see about 20–100 Mbps download, and on 5G speeds can reach 200+ Mbps where it's available — both faster and lower-latency than satellite. Not sure what you'll get at your address? Contact us and we'll give you an honest answer.

Is there really no data cap?+

Yes — all plans are unlimited, with no throttling and no overage fees, built to replace your home internet. As with any carrier, service is covered by a standard fair-use policy to keep the network healthy for everyone and prevent abuse (like reselling service or commercial-scale use). For normal home use — streaming, gaming, video calls, working from home — there's nothing to worry about.

Are there contracts or credit checks?+

No contracts and no credit checks. Plans are month to month and renew automatically on your card. Cancel anytime.

Can I stream and game?+

Absolutely — it's exactly what Viper Broadband is built for. Stream your shows in HD, hop on video calls, and game online without ever watching a data meter. No caps, no throttling — the whole house can be online at once.

How hard is setup?+

Very easy. Your router ships pre-configured. Plug it into power, turn it on, connect your devices — no technician visit. You'll want a usable cell signal at your location.

What's the difference between Blue and Pink?+

They run on two different coverage networks. One may perform better than the other at your specific address — call or text us and we'll help you choose the right one.

Can I take it with me or use it in an RV?+

Our routers are portable and plug-and-play, so they work wherever there's a compatible cell signal and power — including RVs, travel, and remote properties. Keep in mind that cellular internet only works where there's usable signal, so coverage varies by location. If you'll be on the move, it's worth checking coverage for the areas where you spend the most time, and an external antenna can help in weaker-signal spots.

Can I use my own device?+

Bring-Your-Own-Device isn't available. If you already have equipment, contact us before purchasing — and ask about our device trade-ins and swaps.

What if it doesn't work at my location?+

No problem — you can return your router within 30 days using the prepaid label included with your order (it just needs to reach us by day 30). There's also a 5-day trial on your service plan, and shipping fees are deducted from the refund. Test it at your address with total peace of mind.

Is there a trial period?+

Yes — your monthly service plan comes with a 5-day trial. If it's not the right fit, just let us know within 5 days of activation and we'll cancel it and refund your first month ($129.99). Your equipment is covered separately by our 30-day return window.

How is this different from my phone's unlimited plan?+

Phone 'unlimited' plans usually cap hotspot/tethering to a small amount. Our routers and plans are built to replace your home internet with truly unlimited, high-speed data for all your devices.
